On my bucket list – Hawaii will be a return after 20 years with my new soon to be husband. Actually we thought about getting married in Maui. He has never been to Hawaii and when I was there it was with someone else. However, finances are something to consider – after my fiance’ had a serious major surgery in March. His recovery will be about 18 months. He is now at the time where he can do massages and spas. He has not been able to have one in 7 months or prior too. So it has been a long year for the two of us. The wedding has been put on hold until he is in full recovery.

With the above said: What I remember the most about Hawaii is when getting off the plane, there were greeters with fresh flower lei’s that were placed around our necks, so warm and friendly, with a kiss on each cheek, then just seeing and the smell of the ocean, being there when the whales were mating, the luau’s and music at moonlight. The sunset was to experience in a lifetime. Standing on a plank by the ocean and watching the sunset. The night sky was so beautiful and colorful, the air so clean and pure. Serenity is the thought I have. Even driving through the islands and seeing the beauty within the culture was phenomenal.

If your spa is anything like that, I am all for experiencing the smell, thoughts, culture and showing my beau what Hawaii is a taste of before making our marriage plans.
